Step 1: Download and Install Software
Download, install, and run the MBOX File Converter Tool on your system as an administrator.
Step 2: Select Radio Option
Choose the Select Single File/Multiple Files or Select Folder option as per the need and click Next.
Step 3: Add MBOX Files
Click the Select File or Select Folder option from the left and browse MBOX files on the system. Pick them and press Open to add. Click Next.
Step 4: Preview MBOX Files
The software starts scanning; once it completes, press OK. Expand the tree hierarchy and choose files to preview. Later, checkbox the folders to convert and click Next.
Step 5: Select Saving Format
Opt for the File Formats radio option and choose PST from the drop-down menu.
Step 6: Apply Filters
The tool is equipped with numerous filters. Opt for any as per your needs:
- Remove Duplicate Email: To skip similar emails from selected MBOX files/folders based on To, From, Body, Subject, and CC
- Migrate or Backup Emails Without Attachment Files: To prevent transferring the attachments files alongwith emails.
- Split Resultant PST File: To divide large PST files into smaller files based on MB or GB.
Step 7: Check Other Features
Additionally, you get a Date Filter for selective email migration between a Start and End Date of your choice. Also, you can provide a Custom Folder Name for the resultant file to access it easily.
Step 8: Specify Destination
Now, you can click the Path to Save button to provide a location to save the resultant data file.
Step 9: Change MBOX to PST
Finally, press the Convert button to complete the Thunderbird MBOX to Outlook PST Conversion.
Step 10: Download Report
Now, once all is done, press OK. You can also choose to Convert Again or Download Report for the conversion process as required.

Step 5: Choose Saving Client
Now, select the Gmail email client from the drop-down menu to import your MBOX data.
Step 6: Log in to Gmail
Further, enter the Gmail email and password and click Sign In to authenticate your account through the browser.
Step 7: Opt for Filters
The tool provides these filters. You can apply them as per your requirements.
- Remove Duplicate Email: To skip similar items on different criteria.
- Migrate or Backup Emails Without Attachment Files: To avoid saving attachments with emails.
- Save all the Attachments in a Separate Folder: To store attachments on the system in a different folder.
Note: Only one of the two options can be chosen for Attachments.
Step 8: Check Other Filters
If you want to perform selective migration of MBOX data, choose the Date Filter and provide a Start and End Date. Also, add a unique name to your file with the Custom Folder Name option.
Step 9: Transfer MBOX to Gmail
Finally, tap on Convert to complete importing MBOX data into your Gmail account.
Step 10: Download Report
When the process completes, hit OK and click Download Report to view a detailed analysis. You can also choose to Convert Again if needed.
